So, where do I begin this?  I guess I'll just jump right in.

How did we get to this journey of adoption, yet again?  All I can say is God.  He calls us all to different things at different times and He has saw fit to bless us once again with one of his precious children.  Why He chooses our family, I'll never really know.  I'm far from the perfect mom, yet He continues to place His children in my life, and all I can ever think to say is "Thank You Father".

We are adopting a 3 year old precious boy from Ethiopia named Yohannes.  We accepted his referral on October 19, 2007 and immediately dove in to the paperwork (the stinky part of the process).  We were able to get our paperwork done, approved and sent to Ethiopia by Christmas...yahoo!!  Our agency applied for a court date on Friday, January 25, 2008. We should hear by Tuesday or Wednesday what day we will be assigned.  It is usually 5 weeks from the day you apply.  Our day in court is when we apply to officially become the parents of Yohannes.  If we pass through court that day, which please pray we do, we will travel 6 weeks from that day!  Yeah!!!  The time frame, Lord willing looks like it might be around April.

So that's the update.  We are honored, thrilled and excited to be adding once again to our family.  My husband and I have always wanted a large, crazy loud family and God said..."okay".  How He chooses to answer our prayers is totally up to Him.  We never dreamed for all the Lord has given us.  It is more than we could have imagined.  That is just like God though, always outdoing Himself.  We are so little in our thinking.  We think, "Hey Lord, we'll just take a slice of the bread" and He says "I'll give you the whole loaf".  God is good...all the time.

I will post again when we get a court date.
